Any and everything that can be done to help with awareness is greatly needed. I have been waiting 2 years and I hope I don’t have to wait 2 more. Knowledge is the key. People do not realize the importance of being a donor for someone in need. Awareness helps take the mystery out of being a donor.

    • Two years is a very long time, I hope you can find someone soon. People hear the word Donor and Transplant and think of pain and major operations when in fact it is the complete opposite. My goal is to help raise awareness on how easy it is.

  2. My son is 34 years old with MDS. He had his bone marrow transplant 1 yr. and 10 mon. ago. So far so good. It’s a long haul, but it is worth it. Hang in there.

  3. Amazing site, very informative and I’m registering….. Thank you. X

  4. I am on the registry!!! Thank you for all that you do!

My daughter registered last week, I have been for some years. sadly, I lost my nephew ten years ago and I think the efforts people like you guys put in to supporting the awareness makes it more comfortable knowing there’s people out there who care. We found this site while looking for apprenticeship processes for my son on the crown site and I will take a screenshot and post it up at work. Thank you for helping people know how easy it is to be a donor.

    • Thank you for the kind words. All I do is share my story and hope people read, it’s people like you and all the other supporters of this site that help it be successful. So Thank you. It’s great both you and your daughter are registered. Your the real inspirations.

  6. I live in Mexico. My dad was diagnosed with AML in March, thanks God he is in remission. He is waiting for a match to be found so he can have a bone marrow trasplant. In my country are 110 million inhabitants and only 16000 on the bm register. Recently I met James Chippendale from Love, Hope and Strength Foundation and we are working together to get a LHSF Chapter so down here we can have a bigger and stronger register. I admire what James has done and the same for you. Its inspiring when someone decides to bring something bigger from such an unfortunate experience. Congratulations!

  7. Brilliant site – My son is waiting for a BMT now and will hopefully go to Bristol very soon. Awareness about how easy it is to register is so important…well done x

  8. Callie,,I wish Your Son and Family Well in this New Year and Hope above ALL Hope that He gets His BMT VERY Soon.

  10.
